Has MyLot been a tad slow today?

I don't mean the speed with which things upload. I mean the number of users on the site. Most Recent Discussions haven't changed much. Hot Discussions haven't changed much, and some have only 20-something comments. I've had as many conversations with newbies as with old friends today. And so it goes. Off to the pool I go.

Maybe I was on at the wrong time. It was this morning, West Coast time. Vanny was still awake (we're working on anther video), but many of my friends across the world were probably heading to bed.

@TheHorse From this point on, I'll probably see very little in the way of activity until late this afternoon. However, we do seem to have more Indonesian members now and I think they are in the same time zone.

Maybe people are getting out more. I did go shopping and to the pool. Plus I got some sushi for dinner. But I'm still afraid of the virus, even though I'm "young(ish) and healthy."

@amitkokiladitya I find myself feeling "bored" fairly often. A musician and artist friend calls it "terminal ennui." Even when I have time to play guitar or work on my book, I'm just not motivated. Happily, I am on a bit of a "health kick" and am smoking and drinking less, and swimming and lifting weights more.

Yes it happens sometimes like yesterday also seen not much new discussion coming in that recent category and maybe because people busy in routine life.

I was thinking that too. But here in the US, states that were "opening up" (like Florida) are shutting back down. It turns out that cases of CV-19 are rising more quickly in those states.

Yup, I notice it too. Maybe since everyone allowed to go out, they off from mylot too. Yup, I checked most recent discussions too, and not many posted today, only newbies posting every hour.

I was gone a part of the day. They swabbed hubby to make sure he is healthy for a procedure on Monday, then I bought food. Thing is, if you buy food, you have to put it away. And cook some of it. I can see where it might be slow for you though.

I don't know if it's just because I'm behind in responding to my notifications or what, but I have been incredibly busy here on myLot this whole week, and just can't seem to catch up. So, to me, it seems like myLot is busier than ever. But that could just be due to the few members I keep going back and forth with in our comments.

@TheHorse I find that I get tons of notifications overnight, and most of them are from members who are in my timezone or maybe one or two timezones over. I guess a lot of people on this site can't sleep at night, so do a lot of their myLotting during the overnight hours.

Maybe thetime have effect on it? For example, if its 7 in the morning in your place, its less crowded than your 7 in the evening

That's what I was thinking as well. When I'm waking up, many Indonesians, Indians, etc. are heading to bed. By noon my time, Europeans are having dinner and are soon to be in bed...and so on...
