Finally after a great controversy on non violation of law, the ABS-CBN issue, the Philippines largest television network was rejected by the House of Congress of its another 25-year franchise renewal recently. The government did it successfully to gag the TV network of its news, entertainment and public service to the 69 million Filipinos. It's a great blow to the TV network 11 thousands employees, news reporters and anchors and workers who lose their jobs. No more "Kapamilya Network" that serves the people for 67 years.

Duterte used its 8 trillion funds to get power instead of solving the covid 19 problem. Look at him using the funds to spread more fake news and jail his critics, Meanwhile his fans are still blinded sheep

@Nakitakona His White sand Manila Bay is fading now. What a waste of budget. the 300 million should have been used for something that matters more.

Yes that's very obvious. Now another defense he has is the anti-terrorism law. Another season of wretchedness of the defenseless victims especially the marginalized sectors of the society.

@CaptAlbertWhisker That's right. I think there is something messy behind that. Isn't it?

@Nakitakona Protesting out in these times is not safe. Do you think their protest is justified? Was the punishment a deserved one?

@arunima25 It's more justified. It's very valid or legit. But their protests weren't heard. They're rejected.

They should have taken care of this legal problem during Pnoy's time. I mean what the hell?! the Liberal Party was so dominant on those six years, even ABS made a propaganda video of pnoy after he won the presidency. It's also their fault because the way they criticize Pnoy over the last six years that weakend the liberal party, getting Duterte and his cohorts the upperhand and eventually winning the election and the people's trust. Then got themselves a boyscout in the NTC that literally shut the network down by legal means. Their fault, not the current President. Sorry for those 11 thousand employees but they broke too many laws and paid the price for it. The fact that an emissary tried to offer 200 million php to one of the law makers proved their mistake was beyond control.

You justified it. What about if you are one of those 11 thousands workers. Will be happy about it for it's the company negligence?

Meanwhile the President's paid trolls are "celebrating" That TV network is a top tax payer which means its closure destroyed the country's gdp.

It seems like they always get what they want, I hope their conscience does not bother them and they did it without being coerced or pressured, let's just respect the decision. There would always be judgement for oppressors even if it's not on Earth
