cognitive is (not) everything

this is my story when I was in school. I am the type of student who likes to compete with others. I have a principle of ranking first or at least there should not be a girl with a ranking above me. very selfish isn't it? but all that changed when I was in college. I realize that I have a lot to master other than cognitive or hard skills, namely soft skills and relationships with many people. when I graduated from college, I began to realize that finding a job was very difficult without relationships. fortunately I met someone who knew me well, he knew that I had very good skills. then he recommended me to go to a school to teach and I was hired there to work as a teacher. they are very accepting of my strengths and weaknesses. I tried my best and until now I still teach there and I really enjoy it.

"or at least there should not be a girl with a ranking above me" well, i would probably be that girl if we went to the same class. because i hate that kind of opinion and it makes me want to be better than that guy

"shouldn't be a girl above me." Nothing wrong with striving for excellence. But apparently you forgot to strive for excellence in all areas i.e. relationships with people.
