Those are not sunflowers

United States

That was my first thought when I opened the package yesterday. My second thought was that the item was wrinkled. My third thought that this was not a crocheted towel topper. I was disappointed, but not mad. I wanted to give the seller the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps I had misread something or picked the wrong listing as I had looked at several. Well, I'd say it was a combination of that and distraction. I was distracted and just trying to find the quickest kitchen thing with yellow that I could. I did search for sunflowers though, and these DID come up. This is the listing. I'll just have to gift them to my friend and explain that it was my bad. I think she will still love them, and if she squints she can imagine that they are sunflowers. Oh well. When was the last time you bought something online, received it and it wasn't what you thought it would be?

@ScribbledAdNauseum That is true. It happens every now and then in online purchases.

@cherigucchi Yes, sometimes the seller is not clear in their description, and sometimes we are too distracted. The pictures can also be misleading.

I am sorry you had to experience it. I think it happens to us all at least once, if not twice. It's aggravating because we are eager and expect something totally different.

That is an expensive Hanging kitchen towel. It had not happen to me yet. Have a nice day.

It was for a set of two of them, and was cheaper than the other listings. So it was about $4.50 per towel and I thought that wasn't so bad considering someone sewed a towel topper to it.

@thelme55 Right. I would not have paid that much for just one of them. I don't think I'll use this seller again though as I wasn't overall impressed.

Oh no! Yes, that makes it even more nervewracking. I ordered a phone to be delivered to me and was told that I would have to sign for it. I worked third shift at the time and had a cold. I had to get off of work, come home and stay up all day because I was afraid I'd miss the delivery. The delivery man comes around 7 pm. I go to the door and ask him "Do I not need to sign?" he says "no ma'am, have a good day." I wrote my mobile company and told them that I was not amused. Their email correspondence had insisted I would need to sit up and sign for the package.

This has happened several times with Amazon about the size/dimensions of a product. Every single one was my fault for not reading all the info completely.

Oh when it comes to the size of things, i tend to always read it wrong or not read it at all. I have to get better at that.

@simone10 Oh no! Poor guy! I am sure he was confused and angry after that. I'm guessing they were a steal of a price?

@ScribbledAdNauseum So do I. My brother used to think it was funny until it happened to him. He has this thing for flamingos right now. He saw some plates that he bought to put in a plate rack we have on the wall in the kitchen. When they came in, they were the size of doll plates, maybe three inches wide if that. The look on his face when he opened them was priceless. I laughed so hard I cried.

@SHOHANA The word "Chill" is sort of insulting. It infers that you think I am overreacting. I did not think you meant it to be rude though.

@sarik1 Yes, it will teach me to be more watchful. I did search for "sunflowers" and these did come up, but I should have looked closer at it.

The first fitness tracker I bought was the most recent disappointment.I got refunded and sent it back. These are not sunflowers, but they arre pretty. I like the sewn on topper better than crochet. I hope your friend likes them/

I am not a big fan of the topper, but it is practical. It is my blunder anyway, so I gave the seller a good rating. I did point out that her listing said sunflowers but that they were daisies instead. I have been holding off on getting a tracker because I have heard of friends and their disappointment with their trackers.

I had looked at a few of them and liked the price of these. They are pretty. My friend is moving into a new house and she is painting the kitchen yellow. She loves sunflowers. I do have one item for her that is sunflowers.

Things like that happen more often than not, they are pretty towels though they would be much nicer had they crochet the towel topper

@gr8nana6 I saw a pattern for towel rings that is unlike what I've seen before. I need to find it again, but I want to do a few of those for them as well.

It's been a long time since I was disappointed with a purchase, other than something not fitting right.

I think things not fitting right is the most disappointing. When I buy online, I tend to go a size bigger than what I usually wear but that doesn't always make a difference.

I'm sorry that it wasn't up to your expectations. Yeah. Few years back, we ordered flower vase, but when it came, it was too small than we expected, but it was still cute .. hehe

That seems to happen quite a bit. Either the listing / picture makes the item look bigger than it is, or the measurements are listed as wrong. It's frustrating.
