Ready for a meal in a sit-down restaurant?

I know situations are totally different in other parts of the world. Even here in the US, states and cities have varied restrictions.
I've seen that there are a few restaurants in our part of NC that have open dining rooms. And maybe there will be lots of folks who enjoy a "normal" meal and will be fine. No illness from the VIRUS.
But I'm not ready for that just yet. We're relatively healthy for our age, but we don't think the risk is worth it. And really, when you think about it, there's a chance to transmitting Covid when you order from a drive through. Who knows if they are being as careful as you and I would be.
The only time we eat out is at a drive through fast food place and we're taking a chance with that. Oh, and a local barbecue cafe. But, who wants to cook every meal every day?
So, we're still wearing masks of course. Most public places here won't let you in without a mask which I think is still a good idea.
We use lots of hand sanitizer when we get back in the car after a trip to the grocery store. But that's just until we can scrub our hands really well with soap and water when we get back home.
So, what's your opinion on "dining in"? Will the world ever be normal pre-Covid again?

@1creekgirl I do not want to live in fear, but I want to do everything I can to avoid to get contaminated.

Just yesterday a thought crossed my mind that I wish that I could eat out.
I know that we are probably at least a month, if not longer, for that to be possible.
I do not know if I will eat out, I will know then.
Right now I would not.
I have seen people on the news who are living with the after-math of covid, and it isn't pretty and its enough to scare me to stay in.

I totally agree. It's just still too dangerous for many of us.

@1creekgirl I’m off on holiday tomorrow and normally that would involve restaurants and cafes but not this time. I’m feeling a lot healthier not having eaten out for 4 months. I’ll do all the cooking on holiday, which I enjoy, and I’ll be sure that it has been prepared hygienically. Our only activities shall be reading and long walks by the sea.

We've gone out to eat since the day they started back up two-three weeks ago. We've also been to the mall, and minigolfing (about 6 times now) in the last one-two months.

I have been doing it since we were allowed to..with no ill effects, and even went out tonight. I am not going to live my life in fear. I take precautions, and always have my mask and hand sanitizer.

I'm not in any hurry to "dine in" anywhere yet. I'm not even ready to sit and eat outside. I'm too paranoid about catching the virus even taking precautions.
We did pick up a pizza recently from our local place and I have to admit it was delicious. It was the first time in months and it was heaven not having to cook.

I can relate with the "heaven not having to cook." I enjoy cooking, but I miss eating out like we used to at times.

I will only get takeout if do for special occasions. I prefer all the time and not just now to eat at home.

I am only going by what I feel. I do feel safer eating at home than going out with lots of people around to eat in a restaurant.

We ate in at Red Lobster a few weeks ago. There were hardly any people in the restaurant; and the only person we came in contact with was the waiter. We were very careful. The menu was very limited though and many of our favorites were not on it.

I didn't think about the options might have changed. We have a gift certificate to Red Lobster that I guess we'll order and then pick it up.

Although the situation gets better here, but I don't think I am ready go have a meal inside a restaurant. Although I did it once in May, but that was because of my colleague's son's birthday and it was hard to turn it down. Of course eating inside the restaurants won't be that scary, but it is still risky. I don't want to take a risk since it can be involved to my whole family.
