According to my two weather stations, we reached 88 degrees. But the national weather service (NWS) in DC (Dulles Airport and Reagan Airport) said the high was 91.
16 days.
I remember the summer of 1988. It was a tough summer for me. The temps in Indiana hit 90 18 days in a row. 21 days in a row in 1988 in Washington DC.
Those records should not be broken!

The temperature at the airport was....hey, who lives at the airport?
Hot but comfortable for the most part. Storms rolled in about 8 PM, and another round at about 2:30 AM. There’s already a warning out west of Owensboro, so I guess we’ll have a little more rain today.

Blame Eisenhower, he is the one that set up the measure temps at city airports.
