Pressure Washed Monday

It is Monday, right? Feeling more.. productive today than I have felt the last few days which is good. The neighbor's bf is over here pressure washing the house and he's supposed to chop down another tree. I don't know if that will be a today thing or a tomorrow thing. I am glad he pressure washed the house though as it needed it. Waiting for the heat of the day to dry the window then I am going to wash the inside of them. I started crocheting the gifts for friends. Well, one blanket anyway. I will need to get more of the same colors of yarn to make the next blanket, though I should have more than enough for this one. I'll show a picture of it once it's complete. I will probably have them both done in more than enough time, and I may decide to crochet a simple border around it, it just depends. I'm nearly finished with the reread of An Inquiry into Love and Death and then I think there's one more of her books I need to reread. I don't actually have all of Simone St. James books because there is one that I am not sure whether I want to read. It involves a seance. Anyway... After that I plan to move onto rereading Sarah Waters books. Reading makes me happy, makes me feel less stressed about the stressors in my life, and well.. I like it more than turning on my television. I need to diet Well, not exactly. I need to eat healthier, and make restrictions for myself. I need to eat more servings of fruits and veggies for sure. Going to have to keep that in mind when I go to the grocery store next. Might have to venture away from the group family food decisions and just eat things for myself. We shall see. How's your Monday?

I am missing doing crochet and knitting. Sewing keeps me quite busy, although I have slacked off a little bit. Requests are down. I have an order to start and finish, along with a few small orders. Have some things to do inside the house too. I only manage to shuffle things around. Space is the issue. I really should just heave a lot of the stuff I have. I spent a lot of time collecting said things and once we move I will most likely use them again. So why get rid of them? I have been eating healthier lately. Trying to be mindful of carbs and sweets. My husband is a sweet junkie. He can scarf down a half box of Little Debbie snacks in one sitting. Keep telling him not to eat them when Little Miss is around because she will ask for one or at least a bite of what he has. I don't want her to think it's okay to eat them like he does.

@ScribbledAdNauseum because of this oppressive heat wave we are having, I don't bake as much. When I was baking I used whole wheat flour, less sugar, and other ways to save on calories. Stevia is a good substitute for sugar and I use that often. Nobody notices the difference.

@ElusiveButterfly I have some coconut flour that I bought earlier this year or late last year. I wanted to bake some pumpkin bread with it but I still haven't. We have diabetics in the household, ones that love sweets. I wanted to make a less sweet but still delicious sweet treat.

I hope you'll be able to get back into crocheting and knitting soon. I'm making two blankets, one for each of my closest friends. I might also make some dish cloths of wash cloths for them too, because they both love the color of the yarn I am using for that. Hobby Lobby will love me again soon. I understand not getting rid of things. That was and still is my problem. "I can use this, so why throw it out?" Yet I am not using it right away so it sits there collecting dust. Oh no! Yes definitely not good to scarf down a whole box no matter how good they are. I try to buy things in snack size packs because I have family that does the exact same thing.

This is because of my hormones. I have to stop eating fried foods completely, I think.

@amitkokiladitya I have had a prolonged cycle. It has made the past few weeks difficult.

It might be good for you to spray water on your windows workout just letting them dry since for whatever reason when the siding is cleaned and the dirt runs down the sun can etch the streaky water drops into the glass on windows that face the sun a lot. We discovered this years ago and now when we clean siding we always include washing the windows afterward. What kind of siding is on your home? Is it wood or vinyl or aluminum?

It's vinyl siding. Thank you for the tip.

Oh, so you've finished one of the puzzles already? It does seem like a mostly quiet day here too.

@LindaOHio Ah. I'm sure you are glad you finished it and got to see the end result. Did you know that there is such thing as clear puzzle pieces? Yup. I don't understand it either, but apparently someone thought it'd be neat to manufacture a puzzle with no image on it.

Ours needed a whole lot more than just rain to get them clean, plus the siding needed it to. No plans is a good thing.

Well, to be frank, I'm trying to get my hormones under control and I notice when I eat certain foods it makes things worse. So I have to stop eating those, and eat more fruits and veggies.

I haven't done much of what I had planned on doing today. I did wash my two face masks that I wore this weekend. I was going to dust. I may do that later. I found out the cat food I ordered from Chewy is arriving today. It's a "new" food I want to see if Lily will like. If she likes it, I plan on getting a bigger bag of it on Black Friday. I also looked at alot of Windows 10 themes and downloaded alot of them. I deleted three themes.

I hope she will like it. Cats can be so picky sometimes. The day is still young so you've got plenty of time to finish those things you wanted to finish.
