I got up this morning and we started getting ready to go to the gun shop. We left the house about 10 this morning with the only goal to get to the gun shop. The place is about an hour away but then we ran into construction detours on the way and twice had to go out of the way. It took us about an hour and 20 minutes to get there. I went in with two different pistols in mind. One they did not have in stock and the other they only had in a black and teal color. Of course, they could have ordered in what ever I wanted but that just made me really want to look at what else they had in stock. About 15 pistols later I decided on one they had in stock. I did look at quite a few that were bigger pistols and my son had to remind me that I was supposed to be looking for a smaller conceal carry type. I decided to get the Beretta APX Carry. It’s a 9mm smaller gun that is fairly light. Even though this photo is not very good, you can see it is Black and OD Green. After spending close to two hours in the shop looking at everything they had we were on the way home and I have a new pistol. The drive home was shorter since I knew to avoid the construction but once we got back home, we decided not to go to the range today. We will go tomorrow and put some rounds down range.

I am thrilled by this law there, where a child can literally enter a store and buy a weapon. It is forbidden here, I am not surprised, what kind of people we are here would probably be a non-stop war.

A child can buy a weapon? I don't know where that is but it's not here.

@Fa_Maverick You are right there is no minimum age in Colorado but they must meet the federal age minimum.

Congratz on your choice, I'm old fashioned , I still prefer the Colt 1911 .45 government model. Open carry is not allowed for civilians in our country only concealed if you have a license to own and permit to carry.

Yes, love the Colt but have one already but it is to big for conceal carry. In my state you can open carry but in some places the cops get called on you every 5 minutes. The city I am in they get called on you all the time and of course the cops have to come out every time so it is not worth it. I might as well conceal carry.

I think it is a lot of fun. I know some people don't like it but I find that most of them have never tried it either and they just don't know much about it.
