I´m in bed, eating and watching again "The Help" a movie about the life of the African American in the 60s in Mississippi.
That movie and the more documentary "Selma" show that we have come a long way in these almost 60 years. But there´s so much more to do.
The only thing that hurts me is that everything has to be done in such a hard way.
I´ll finish the movie and will come back here again.
Do you watch movies in the evening?

I think that things are better now, but not as much as we would like them to be.

We usually try and watch movies 3-4 times a week. The African American actress from "The Help" is now saying that she regrets doing the movie.

@LindaOHio All the black actresses in that movie portrayed servants. But of course 2 of them had the best roles.

@marguicha I think it was Viola Davis. I think because she portrayed a servant during a time when that was the type of work that African Americans could get.

I think that the story depicts how it was in the south of the US before the 60s. Did you know that only during President Lyndon Johnson´s time did the African Americans have the right to vote?

Last night I watched Escape from Alcatraz with Clint Eastwood. It was like a documentary that was based on real events in that prison.,

@Butterfingers They have chosen better films now on cable TV. It must be because of the lockdown.
