Tokyo on red alert again

Our governor and government officials have been talking to doctors and epidemiologists, and have decided to put Tokyo on red alert over the spread of the coronavirus, again. However, it doesn't look like they are actually going to shut things down. They have been encouraging people to go only to restaurants and pubs that display a sign that they receive when all the staff have been tested regularly, so hopefully that will shut down about 50% of the source. Younger people age 20-30 have been hit this time around but they are taking it to their offices, resulting in more 40 and 50s being hit, and home, meaning some grandparents are hit, but not nearly as many severe cases as last time because most people are younger. I sure hope this gets people to be more careful about going out at night. How are things where you live?
Tokyo is on its highest coronavirus alert level after a spike in new cases, the city's governor warned Wednesday, as experts said the rising infections were a clear "red flag". "The experts just told us that the situation of infections i

@Janet357 Hard to keep cities down, I think. Especially where there is a lot of public transport and also restaurants and bars.

Yes it is just as bad here in the US, some people deny that there is a problem therefore don't do anything to stop this virus. So it keeps going and I'm afraid this is going to be our norm for quite some time.

The numbers have gone up again in the eastern states and some there are treating it almost like a game - having parties then hiding in cupboards when the authorities are called in. The stupidity of some is unbelievable.

and i thought Japan is already virus-free. but at least, you there listen to the advice of the government unlike here in the Philippines, the residents are hard-headed; they don't care if their companions may be infected with the virus if they have it with them

@petatonicsca there are kids who are obedient, but many who are not well taken cared by parents, go the wrong way in life. whatever the kids see in the adults, i think they follow. i often see in the news about parents wearing masks and yet their young kids about 3-4 years young, do not wear any masks. the parents do not think their kids may be infected.

I'm surprised, I always thought of people in the Philippines as being obedient, but maybe that is because all the Filipino kids at my school are so well behaved and considerate.
