While out checking on the bluebirds earlier, I noticed this butterfly. She was visiting the two butterfly bushes in Dustin's garden.
I am starting to see these every day. The hotter it gets, the more I see them.
This one is a female tiger swallowtail. You can tell by the little blue spots on her tail. The male visits often as well.
So cool to see the big butterflies. They always bring a smile. I can see them from my window inside as well.
Enjoying the garden both inside and outside. A happy time in the garden these days.

You captured a gorgeous photo! How close were you able to get to take the photo? It's nice she sat there and posed for you.

@CarolDM That was nice that you were able to get so close. Sometimes butterflies are good like that, and sometimes they're not.

Another great photo! I finally saw a butterfly for the first time this year, yesterday evening. It was still light out since it doesn't get dark here until after 9pm. The one I saw was on the railing of our balcony. It was small and its color was muted. At first, I thought it might be a moth but it was a butterfly.

It is so beautiful. I just realized that I don't see a lot of butterflies anymore, which is kinda sad.
