Ants on my brush

Greetings all, after dinner when I decide to brush my teeth I saw the box of my brush with ants, the box has tiny wholes and my brush kept there to protect from the insects. Box actually means here a plastic protection of my brush but the brush had ants on it.
I washed both the brush and plastic protection of the brush as boxed.
I'm worried now. What would be the reason of these ants? Do you have any idea of it? Please share with me that I can find a clue to get the actual reason behind it.

Ants will nest in odd places. I found them nested in a CD case once.

Ants are usually looking for food. I don't know why they would be on your brush. I hate ants.

i don't know why would they do that, did you wash your toothbrush after using it and putting it back in the box?
