Trying to Quit Soda

My love for Dr. Peppers started at birth or a couple of years later. I drink two a day with my two meals, but they are so unhealthy I want to eliminate them completely from my diet.
I have narrowed my two cokes a day to one and now I drink lemonade for my other meal. Of course, my goal is to reach zero cokes, but that's for future Rhonda to worry about.
In Texas we call all soft drinks "cokes" as in what kind of coke do you want?" Someone will answer a Pepsi or a Dr. Pepper, or whichever ones they drink.
Do any of you remember this commercial?

I remember the song "I'd Like To Buy The World A Coke" when it played on commercials on television and radio.

@misunderstood_zombie I agree with you since Pepsi Cola had a similar song that had lyrics of "Pepsi has a lot to give." around that same time.

I remember that commercial and even the actor that sang it. He was also in American Werewolf in London.

i remember the song but not the commercial.
i like classic coke and mountain dew but drink just once a month.

I'm a Dr. Pepper drinker too. We call it soda on the East Coast or the brand name (Coke). I do remember the commercial... It's the real thing Coke is

I'm not even sure they are in all the states in the US, but maybe that's changed by now.
