Yankee Candle - a glowing review

Hi My lot, I love those scented wax melts and the wax melters. Incase you don't know what those are like - it's a lamp like fixture with a lightbulb inside and a little dish ontop. The lightbulb heats the dish which in turns heats and melts the scented wax bricks you've placed in it and releases a scent. So it's like a candle, without the fire risk. After so many uses the wax looses it's scent. However, during the pandemic I haven't been out and about to do my shopping. One of my favorite things used to be to go down the scented wax/candle aisle and smell the packages until I find a new scent I like to have in my home. But now I pick up groceries curbside, or delivery. So I decided to order a slightly higher priced scented wax - from the Yankee Candle company. Well the first bunch I got - reminded me that they had been stored all together or something. For example the citrus scented wax I got smelled kind of like - citrus-musk-cinnamon-floral. So, when I got the customer satisfaction survey - I mentioned it and they sent me a whole new order worth! I was even allowed to switch up scents, which I did to prevent being disappointed again. I really enjoy when a company stands behind their product like that. Awesome! My photo

I like the jar and the candles. How much are they?

There's a big range of cost. Actually I got most of my jars (called warmers) second hand. I think I paid $5 for the red one. But brand new they seem to range from $15-$35 . Wax also doesn't cost too much. There are many different brands - my favorite ones cost $2.50 for a pack of 12 small cubes (or enough to fill a warmer 4 times). The wax tarts, like in the picture - usually cost $2.00 each (and fill up 1 warmer, 1 time) but I got in on a sale and got them for $1 each. Hope that helps I really like it

@FayeHazel I'm sure you did. I think I'll light a candle with tomorrow's date night.

I like those candle and water oil vapourisers, Those little tealight candles don't last too long,so I don't worry too much about them

That's awesome. I like the scent of candle but no fire risk. Or like you say candles that don't last long

@Ronrybs Oh wow! Same idea,? Put oil or wax in the top of it? Only it runs off of a tea light? Cool!

The company has an excellent costumer service. I am not a fan of candles but I like its scent if they aren't burning.

@FayeHazel the candles always end up smelling like wax which I don't like at all.

I'm very impressed with them. Do the candles get too strong if they are lit ? Or do you just not like the fire risk?

That's great customer service - it just shows that it's worth saying so if you aren't satisfied.

Never heard of them--will have to keep an eye out for them. We are not allowed candles--rule #86,999--and that sounds like the answer!

Wow really? Scentsy is the "big" brand that may have started this. Though I find them at Walmart now too :-) "Wax Warmer" I think is the right term

We have those also, though I've never used Yankee Candle. Better Homes and Gardens wax melts are also really good.
