My laundry is still wet

No, it's not still in the washer. No, I didn't just hang it up. It's been hanging up in a room that has good sun exposure and a nice breeze going through. For three days. I went to get a T-shirt from the hanging laundry this morning, and felt it. A bit cool, felt a bit damp, or just cool. I put it on and indeed it is damp. Like, damp enough that I don't want to wear it yet. Three days. Do you have a dryer, or do you hang your laundry? How long does it take to dry?

I don't have a dryer so I just hang my laundry in the backyard so the sun will make it dry

I throw everything in the dryer. But growing up my mom hung things on the line outside . . . but we had a dryer in case of those rainy days (she just preferred hanging them). I remember when my mom went to Japan, she did some laundry and I guess it was so humid that it literally never dried. I don't think my grandmother there had a dryer.

@petatonicsca My grandmother lived in a very old house in Kagoshima - no dryer there!

Most Japanese do not have dryers. 1. too expensive to run 2. nowhere to put it in your house.

I usually hang up my laundry outside or by a window. It dries in about two days. I think you might have a lot of humidity in the air and that is why it still feels wet,

I think most places in the US have dryers. I'm glad you have one.

@petatonicsca Thank goodness my relatives and myself have a dryer since the backyard does have a clothes line but there is not a rope to hang the clothes.

No sun for at least 10 days, maybe longer. We had a little sun sometime because I rode my bike on purpose during the sunny time between clouds. Rainy season is still here.

I don't wash clothes myself. I usually entrust clothes laundry services. I usually spend only 10 dollars every month for that. And i only waitt about 1 day for my laundry

That is a good price (although I don't know anything about laundry services) and you are also giving someone else a job. That's good. I have a person come trim my trees once a year or so because he does it better and also he is self-employed.

We have .a spinner. No need for the dryer because it is always hot here.
