NFL Training Camps Have Begun

I got the notification yesterday about training camps...at least for the Ravens beginning. With the notification, they also supplied some of the changes that will be implemented in order to protect all NFL members from Covid. *A 20 Day ramp up period for players at the start of training camp before contact practices begin with a max of 14 padded practices *First 8 days following required Covid testing and physicals will consist of strength and conditioning training. Non-contact practices will begin on the 16th day of camp. The first padded one will begin on day 21. *No preseason games *Practice squads increased to 16 players, and four of those players can be protected each week from signing with another team *Rosters trimmed to 80 players no later than August 16th *Players who attend high risk events and contract Covid can face team discipline and forfeiture of salary *Players have the option to opt-out of the 2020 season, deadline is August 3rd These are the guidelines that the Ravens sent out but it seems that all teams are following these. The only thing that seems to be stadium-specific is if they will allow fans or not. Some teams have declared no fans in the stadium and some are just drastically limiting the number of fans in the stands. It's currently being left up to the team's management. From what I can see however, if you do attend the games in the stand, you will be required to wear a mask. Not sure if that was made official yet or not though. I do know that no one is allowed in training camp like they were last year. Maybe it'll change next year. Now that training camps have started though, I'm getting excited. The season will be starting and I can't wait! *picture from google

Wow, I didn't even think anyone cared about the NFL anymore. I have not watched or cared about it in a few years now and again will not be watching or following at all again this year. I think everyone I know who use to watch football in the past have stopped watching it in the last few years. Hope you enjoy your season and your team does well.

@JordanLader Yeah, I am a hockey fan and it starts back up today. I will be watching my Blackhawks and hoping they do well. I think all the changes to the NFL in the last 10-15 years have really changed the game and for some of us it is to much. I know for me I am not interested in watching a two hand touch league. I want to see the big hits, I want to see the quarterback get sacked. I don't want to see a game that ends with a score of 73 to 70, the way they have ruled against defense of late is just not my kind of thing.

@Bensen32 A lot of players feel the same. Announcers ask why this player or that didn't get tackled and the simple answer is they can't without being penalized anymore.
