Got My Report From The Doctor

I saw the doctor this morning for a 6 month check up. He checked my A1c. Last October it was 5.6%, today it is 6.6%. I'm frustrated it went up...but know its my fault for taking so many cheat days (weeks) from my diet. I want it back under 6% by the time I go back. For those that don't know - A1c is the test that checks the blood sugar average for the past 3 months. It can diagnose if someone has diabetes or not.

Thank you, and it is okay - I knew it would be up. I'll have to stick to my diet more often to get it back down!

@MommyOfEli2013 You know what to do. Cut the carbs down. I don't know what else you're eating you shouldn't. But your carbs have been giving you problems. Treat them like poison and maybe you'll stay away from them.

@just4him I was cutting them out, I was doing very low carb days but my blood sugars were not responding. Wondering if it was one of my meds because I had run out of the prescription...got it refilled now so we'll see. I know I should treat them like a poison because for me they are - but I can't stay away from them 100% I do need to go back to only a certain amount of carb days a month and not letting it be 2 days at a time, or even a week.

Thank you, I hope so too - but that means I would have to stick to my diet more often.

I knew it would be up, based on my blood sugars lately. Was hoping the working out would have helped....but it was better when I wasn't working out.

Some questions popped up into my head. What is the normal value for it? And just. 4% can make u diabetic?

Less than 5.7% is normal. Not sure what you mean by just 4%?
