All I Do ... I Do Imperfectly and ... That's Okay With ME

This morning when my eyes opened I saw the beginning of daylight. Up I got, dressed, went outside to work on my project ... I'm almost finished! I have worked for so long, so hard to make ... a for-real ... imperfect patio! It's time for my shower! I'm happy with what I've done ... Skip likes it ... so do our friends. We live on their property, in their older mobile home. It was a storage mobile home at one time. I've worked very hard to make it into a home ... I've done good ... all ... imperfectly. I am sitting here rubbing my fingers, hands ... they are very sore from gathering bricks, placing them getting them ready for cement ... the kind one sweeps into all the cracks and ... sprays water to wet it all down to dry hard ... keeping the bricks secure ... in place. I will show a photo later ... you will just have to remember it isn't perfect at all ... I'm not a brick-layer ... I am however ... an improviser ... and very uninhibited when it comes to bringing a vision in my mind to ... into reality. It sure doesn't have to be perfect anymore ... this comes from a person who used to be a ... perfectionist! What I am trying to say is ... I make things out of nothing to look as nice as I possibly can. I try to create what I can't afford now to pay someone else to do, or afford to buy. Our money has to be spent wisely now to survive, live especially in today's time. There was a time when all was possible ... now, money is very tight ... I improvise to make things as pretty as possible around ME ... my world. Luxuries used to be easy to have all the time. Now, we go without something to get something we'd like to have ... make up for it later. Oh my, how over time I have learned to appreciate ... the tiniest of things. Each day I never forget how grateful I am to friends, to God ... for us to have survived all we have come through. Without them ... I would be in another of life's stories ... no telling what I'd be living. Life is really harder when one ages ... has no family support ... and like me ... my only child, my son ... died. I have to do the very best I can ... I've learned to lay my pride aside, accept help from others. Before ... I would hide when I needed help to not let anyone see ME ... needing anything. Oh my ... PRIDE ... oh my, my, my ... I had too much pride. Some people learn easily in life ... ME ... I have always learned the hard way it seems thinking I could do everything MYSELF. Not so ... I've learned we all need others no matter how much we say ... we don't need anybody. It takes getting older, living ... making good choices when Life throws all it has at you ... to grow wiser. If one doesn't ... oh my ... we eventually have to go through things over again to ... learn. One way or the other ... we will learn whether we admit or not. See how I go off on trips when I write ... I travel away from what I begin to write only ... to come back to where I began. Hey, that's ME ... that's how I roll ( ... I could hear my son say that in my mind just now ... he used to smile when he did). All I do ... I do imperfectly and ... that's okay with ME.

We are all imperfect and we can't change that. We have to accept it. Good that you keep doing the best you can and you can be happy and satisfied that you are doing that. Keep the faith!

You are so right, once we accept that and keep on keeping on ... life is so much better.

I want to see your project when it is done and I am sure it will look nice. I am working on a project and I have two legs on it so far. If it comes out I will share.
