Let's talk about your retirement plan. I read an article that an old couple sold their house and plan to travel around the globe. I think it is a silly idea, especially now.
What do you think about this idea?
What do you think it is like to be retired?

This idea doesn't look very appealing to me because I love to travel across globe and visit various countries, but to me, nothing can give me the special feeling of being in my country, my home.

I have and I haven’t. I have retired, and I haven’t sold my house.
My house is paid off (I’ve lived here for 31 years), so I can’t ever find another place with a $0 mortgage/rent. That gives me the extra freedom of having a place to “land” when things like this coronavirus lockdown come around.

People in England can get a government pension if they have at least 10 years showing up on their National Insurance record. I have got 26 years however I need 35 years. I had 8 years where I didn't have any so I bought 2 years. In May 2019 I began paying into a private pension. I will retire at 67 years old. So therefore I will let out my home if I haven't got enough money to travel. I hope to travel around the world when I retire. Traveling is appealing though it is never worth losing your home.

I’m a home person, so if I retired I think staying at home is the best thing for me. Maybe sometimes I will do short travelling, but mostly the thing that I do is staying at home
