Mental Health Covid-19

How is everyone dealing with their mental health through the pandemic? I’m sure the need for psychologists and psychiatrists must have increased substantially! Unfortunately where I live and many other places in the world it’s not easily accessible. What are some of your coping strategies?

I try to keep myself calm through yoga and meditation. I have been doing it for quite some years now. But still sometimes anxiety and fear do creep in this uncertain situation.

It’s been very rough for me - exacerbating my already bad anxiety. I’ve had to increase dosages of the medications I take and my doctor says she’s seeing that with so many people! I’ve started playing online games to help me cope and feel like I’m socializing some.

I will tell you how things started with me -- 1) First they pushed us in our small house, and didn't allow us to get out for first 15 days. Initially we enjoyed it. But later it started giving us head aches, body pains. You don't walk like you used to do previously. You can't go outside for fresh air. 2) News channels actually impacted our mindset. This caused us to think we have covid 19 the way they were spread the awareness. 3) Panic Attack seeing bad news over and over again. This happened with me for almost 2 months. I stopped watching News, I don't read newspapers. I watch movies,Comedy genre usually. Then sometimes look for some website which will pay me some bucks. And once I am tired ,I will sleep.

In my opinion all of us have found a way to deal with this Covid-19 lockdown on our own. Indeed there has to be people who need psychological help on handling it. I personally have had breakdowns in the past few months so what I do is to cry out, let it all pass and then I take deep breaths, after a few minutes I feel a little relieved!

facing this covid, we please ourselves. Either by exercising, eating fruit or doing something that pleases oneself, for example doing a hobby that yesterday was abandoned
