August 17th is our country's independent day. Our neighborhood head has announced that every house have a flag already hoisted in the front of the house.
I noticed a few didn't pay attention to thw announcement or may be they will do it later.
Do you have the same instruction to raise the flag when independent day comes?

People do hang flags on patriotic holidays, but it's not a mandate or anything like that.

No, it's up to the individual if they want to raise a flag. I've never had a place to put a flag outside my home, so never did. It doesn't mean I'm not patriotic. I am.
