Farmers are often annoyed by this one pest. Birds, these pests often make it difficult for farmers, especially during the pre-harvest rice period. Birds cause severe damage if there is a significant difference in planting time (more than 3 weeks) than the surrounding rice fields. The bird species that most often causes serious harm is the sparrows (Lonchura sp.) Which usually attack in groups from tens to thousands in number. I often watch sparrows in the paddy ricefield and the farmer scare them away by majking some noise and scarecore.
