Well, howdy!
I’m on my phone from my bed in the emergency room.
While I was practicing for the tournament I started feeling awful, so I high-tailed it to the nearest hospital (which, thankfully, was NOT the VA facility).
As usual, it was one of those massive GERD attacks.
We’ll have to see about getting better medicine for that (yeah, and I guess staying away from the Mexican food 
).
Meanwhile, as soon as the results of the bloodwork come back I can go home.
This isn’t exactly what I had in mind for my Wednesday evening.....

@TheHorse — prescription proton pump inhibitors and antacids. I’ve been avoiding spicy food over the weekend, and that has really helped.

GERD is tough, be careful and hopefully the next meds will work better. can't give up on Taco Tuesday!

My meds keep my GERD in check. I hope that you don't have a flare-up again. Sorry it landed you in the hospital. Feel better soon!

Ah, George Jones pre-long hair. Looks like a H.S. Yearbook photo. I suffer from GERD too. I take meds to control it but wake up with acid-reflux and a scratchy throat most mornings.
