Sunny outside, dripping inside

Japan

So it has finally started to be sunny and hot (about 35ÂșC at midday, which is not too bad but still pretty hot at 75% humidity). Most houses in Japan only heat or cool one or two rooms at a time through "aircon", which is an air conditioner/heater on the wall, with the condenser outside. I turned mine on to "dehumidifier", which does not use as much electricity as air conditioning but makes it feel cooler in the room. I also use fans. I was lying on my bed reading and suddenly was hit with little cool droplets of water. This kept happening occasionally for several days. I finally figured out that it was the dehumidifier on the wall above my bed! It's like it is sprinkling cool rain inside! Are you using an air conditioner? Do you prefer fan with no air conditioner? How do you keep your house livable in the summer?

I prefer air conditioning, here the dehumidifier is not used only when there are very allergic babies. In my country there are only two seasons, which is summer and rainy.

Ah, because you are close to the equator. What is your highest and lowest average temperature?
