I know as I get older time seems to fly, not this week. No tv and internet makes the days drag!! We had our pool exercise today and it was great and I had a dentist appointment and yes I am getting another crown. The latest news on the power being restored is before Sunday night!! Yikes. Well the generator is doing it’s job and our food is safe. I hope my picture will show, it is just one example of the devastation all around me.

I sure hope you get that power back soon. That seems like a long time to wait. Is that a large fallen tree branch or a tree itself?

That wouldn’t help my daughter has solar panels and no power and you can’t just put up a wind turbine in your yard, we have zoning.

That is a very long time without hydro. I take it that they have hydro where you exercise, are there other places that you can go to that are up? I'm thinking that eating out would be a necessity, both for nourishment but also for a change to help break up your days.

Actually we have not eaten out at all. I made fried egg sandwiches last night. I hooked the toaster and a single burner I have to the generator and fried the eggs with melted cheese, so good!! We’ve had sandwiches and bowls of cereal. Some people in our town got power back yesterday. 54% of the town is still without power

@BelleStarr That reminds me of that outage that was in both countries on your eastern seaboard and into our province as well as Quebec, I think it was in 2003. Our workplaces were all closed down for that duration.

@BelleStarr I'm glad that your power is back on now. I guess if the cable and internet had to go out, 10pm would be a good time since a lot of people are in bed at that time.

That's a long time to be without power! I'm glad you have a generator though! You are not kidding that time flies as we get older. I thought for sure that when we went into lockdown and had to start working from home that my days would drag on endlessly, but so far it seems that time has been flying by faster and faster. It seems I blink and the day is over. I wish the days flew by that fast when I was at the office! haha

Was it a tornado that caused that devastation?

It was the eastern edge of a tropical storm that was previously a category 1 hurricane.

Thank you, it caught us all off guard, usually, a storm that is this mild shouldn't have devastated us.

@BelleStarr Now there is that big storm that hit IA and IL. It split in two by the time it came to Ohio; and we didn't get ANY wind or rain. Have a good week.
