Struggling to Break Out of Monotonous Drag

11 August is the 43rd foundation day of our organisation. In other years it was celebrated with overflowing joy. Past inmates returned to be part of the happy day. Children who grew up here, have families and children (some grandchildren too), came here to relive their memories for a day and thank God for this foster home that nurtured them.
This year is different for obvious reasons. On Tuesday, 11 August, we will have a commemoration, not so much a celebration. Past children are not invited. It will be completely an " internal affair" with prayer and some singing and dancing by the 55 odd children. It was agreed that this will help break the monotonous drag brought about by the invisible tentacles. Children have started their practice and this morning I brought a few things necessary for the happy day. I can already see an innocent happiness shining on the faces of the children.
