What You Should Know About Vitamins and Supplements

Last week my doctor made me sign an agreement regarding my pain pills as they are a narcotic and the government, I guess, is trying to keep addiction under control. My pain pill is Tylenol 3. When I first got fibromyalgia I was taking 6-8 pills a day. Then someone told me about Magnesium with Malic Acid. Taking that supplement I have managed to get my pain pills down to 2-3 a day. This afternoon I was in a lot of pain. I don't really want to take a Tylenol 3 in the afternoon. Sometimes it makes me a little loopy, but I also want to try and stick to the 2 a day (one in the early morning when I get up to go to the bathroom, and one before I go to bed at night). Being in so much pain this afternoon I thought I would take 2 Magnesium/Malic Acid tablets, 750 mgs each. After a while I noticed my pain had eased considerably. Eventually almost all my pain was gone. I couldn't believe it. I mean, yes, I've been plugging the use of Magnesium/Malic Acid for years. I knew it worked because of how few Tylenol 3's I now take. But Magnesium/Malic Acid costs about $40 a bottle so I was literally only taking one in the morning and one in the evening. I think I may boost that up even though it costs so much. The lady at the health food store told me I should be taking more than two a day but... anything to make a sale, right? Now I am going to seriously focus on taking magnesium/malic acid when I have pain during the day. It's going to cost me more but what can you do? Oh, I recently tried a vitamin company (U.S. based) called Care/Of. I answered a questionnaire and the answers determined what supplements I needed to take. They gave me 2 magnesium pills a day. I didn't take any of my other supplements because most of them were all in the packet. The magnesium alone did not help my pain. In fact, not being on the magnesium/malic acid for the last month my pain has actually increased considerably. Because Care/Of is American and the Canadian dollar is ridiculously low, I asked for only two pills out of the packet they sent me because, like I said, I was already taking most of the vitamins they sent me. The probiotic they provide is so much better than Align. My IBS has been so much better on it so I will continue to get my probiotic from them. What they sent me that I was already taking was Magnesium (2/day), Vitamin D, Omega-3 (2/day), B-Complex. I was already taking them so I'm not going to pay to get them from the U.S. What they did send that I wasn't taking was a cranberry pill to help combat bladder and urinary tract infections, Ginseng and Ashwaganha. The last one upset my stomach so I stopped taking it. So Care/Of will be sending me just the cranberry pill and the probiotic, a month's supply for about $30. (Depending on the size of the box, Align costs up to $50). The boxes contain packets, one per day, and each is labeled with your name on it. If you are interested in Care/Of, message me. I get points for referrals. My first order was 50% off. That's why I tried it. Stay healthy and safe all.
