A Hot and Humid Wednesday

Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a great day so far. It's hot and humid already this morning. I dread to think of how it's going to be later this afternoon. I think there is a chance of rain and I hope we get it so we can get a little bit of relief. I'm waiting to hear back from my doctor regarding my side and my rash. I had to leave a message so hopefully she will call me back this morning. My side is feeling a little better but the rash is the same as yesterday. If it's not one thing, it's another. Not much going on today except doing laundry. I couldn't do it yesterday because of the pain in my side. Today I need to get caught up. Over the weekend, I was finally able to finish my large aquarium. It was all decorated so, I moved my fish back from the smaller aquarium. They appear to be very happy, swimming all over the place. Even the males are doing their little happy dance to the females which they haven't done since I had to move them to the smaller aquarium. I guess being in a larger space makes them feel more in the mood I had a dental appointment yesterday that I had to cancel. I didn't want to sit forever in the chair with the rash on my legs. It's a good thing I cancelled because I was told they had combined two of my visits. That meant I would have been there two hours, which really means it would have been more like three hours. Well, off I go to finish my notifications for today. I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe day! **Photo is from Pixabay**

Oh my goodness, sitting two hours on a dentist chair sounds like a torture. I am sorry for your legs, have you called a doctor?

@simone10 I hope it works, I wonder if you ate something wrong.

@LadyDuck I would think if it's something I ate, I would have it in my mouth and/or all over my body. But I don't know. I'm getting frustrated because the prednisone has helped but only about 20%. Maybe it just takes time. Tomorrow will be my last dose. I just hope I don't have to go back to the doctor but I may have to.

Yes, and she put me on prednisone. I know have it on both legs and arms. I've been on prednisone for two days and it's improved a little.

You don't have shingles, do you? I've had them; and they were extremely painful. Hope you feel better soon.

I think I do but don't know for sure. They itch and burn like when I had shingles before but I don't have blisters.

@LindaOHio This morning the surface of my skin on my legs isn't bumpy. It's spread but it's smooth and almost a purple red. So, I don't think it's shingles after all, although it did feel like it in the beginning.

@simone10 Usually shingles are not over so much of your body; and you definitely should have blistering. Hopefully it's the dermatitis. Much less painful; and you don't get the chicken pox symptoms.

I hope you hear back soon from your doctor, just so you have peace of mind. It's sunny, but humid here today. I'm happy I exercised early and am in for the day.

My doctor called in prednisone and it seems to be working a little. I guess it's going to take time to go away completely. I'm sorry to hear about the humidity there. It seems like it is just about everywhere right now. I am hoping it will be cooler in another month.

@simone10 I'm sure the prednisone will work its magic. Today our high is 72 and a low of 63. I like this for now. It's refreshing, yet not too cold for summer.

She did call back and I'm on prednisone. It seems to be working but slowly. If I am allergic to something, I wish I knew what it was so it won't happen again.

I hope you get that rash under control. Are you putting anything on it? My brother had a huge aquarium in his home. He donated it to the school that he work for as a custodian. He keeps the aquarium in tip top shape. The students and staff love it!

@ElusiveButterfly The one I have now is 30 gallons and it's the right size for an apartment. Any bigger and I would be afraid since I live on the second floor.

My doctor called in prednisone Friday and I've been taking that. I wish I could afford a huge aquarium. That would be a dream of mine. Right now, my next one is going to be a 55 gallon but I'm going to wait until we either move into a house or are on the first floor.

Thanks, I thought it was so pretty. I have guppies right now because I read that they were the easiest to keep. Not true at all. I'm hoping to get some platies this weekend. I wish I could get bigger fish but right now, I'm afraid to spend a lot on fish until I know more.

@Juliaacv Yes, some of the high dollar ones are just gorgeous. I have some that really surprised me. The Mom was very a very plain gray with a little bit of color in her tail. The male was an ordinary yellow/orange. The male babies I have now are no longer babies and have turned out to be so pretty.

Yeah, August is always hot and humid. I just wish we haven't had to suffer through July being this way also. But that's over and done with. Hopefully one more month and it will be cooler.

I hope you hear back from your doctor soon so you can get that rash taken care of. You were wise to cancel your dentist appointment due to the uncomfortability as a result of the rash. Hope you get some answers/solutions soon.
