It's Mid-Week Already

Happy Wednesday Everyone!! a beautiful sunny day here this morning but they're predicating thunderstorms later in the day. Mother Nature is so unpredictable that's it's almost impossible to count on anything that's forecasted these days. August is flying by the same as July. Pretty soon September will be here and summer will be coming to an end. All the talk here is the kids going back to school. It changes from day to day what's going to happen so it's anyones guess what the end result will be. My grandson is the only grandchild that is expecting to go back to school. He'll be starting his sophomore year in high school. The rest of my grandchildren are either adults now or are being home-schooled. My daughter is off today and is still sleeping. I don't know how she can sleep with the noise of the lawn crew outside buzzing around with their loud mowers. They woke me up from a good dream So, I came downstairs and have the coffee perking so when she gets up she'll have her coffee ready. Usually she's up before me and the coffees ready for me. I guess she must be very tired to still be in bed. Anyway, I'm going to have my first cup and chat here for awhile. Don't know what the plans are for today but I'll go with the flow. Hope everyone has a good day today

Good morning and happy coffee time. It is a relief knowing that most of your grandchildren will be home schooled.

@Marilynda1225 I can understand and I agree, children are not good in respecting social distancing or wearing a mask. They are surely a lot safer at home.

@LadyDuck right now it's a wait and see. My grandson goes back to school in about two weeks.

It's a relief to me too especially the younger ones. I think they're better off doing their classes at home at least for the next semester and see what happens next year

My day is quiet, lots of writing and taking the dogs to the vet. I ordered lunch delivered a steak and cheese and a ham grinder for Al and I, it was delicious.

@Marilynda1225 It was, it is a local chain called Nardelli's and they make a very generous grinder.

I’m wasting my precious time on hold so I am mylotting while waiting. Been on the phone over 30 minutes already. It’s 91% humidity here so I can’t spray the bottles for the wedding until it drops. I’ll stain some crates instead and work on cutting a roll of lace and doing laundry. My kids will be going back to school. My 4 year old niece was supposed to go to pre-k this year but my sister isn’t sending her now. She will be taught here by me while her mother works.

@Marilynda1225 our school is full days. If it weren’t for my fiancé sending his son back to school I’d be keeping mine home away from all the germs.

the humidity certainly does hinder your ability to spray the bottles and have them dry. I guess some kids will be going back to school while others continue online learning. Will your kids have full weeks or are they staggering them with both in class on some days and online other days? That's what our high school is doing so far. Gee your wedding is coming up quickly. Bet your nervous and excited

@Marilynda1225 I know exactly what you mean. It really does feel like fall is really creeping up on us. A little faster than I would like.

We say it all the time about how fast time is flying by but it just seems like it's going extra fast lately. Pretty soon we'll be into Fall weather and digging out our colder weather clothes.

Thanks, it must be a relief to think of your grands being home schooled in place of being exposed to germs in real school.

those that are going to stay home are younger so I think it's wise for them to continue learning at home. My grandson is high school age and wants to go back but it's still up in the air as to how they are going to do it. So far it's half the week in school and the other half at home. What makes me leery is if he's going to be around all those other kids then I'm afraid of him bringing the virus home. Guess we'll have to see what happens in the next few weeks.

Good morning. I have a hard time sleeping thru a lawn mower's sound too. Our former neighbour used to go out to start to cut his grass just before dark, when there was already a dew on the grass or by 6:30 am, when the grass was still very wet. I finished working at 10am today, so now the rest of the day is mine. I only had to work a half day. I will be able to spend some time here and then get some chores done around here.

Our lawn guys showed up before 8am so that's why I was up early. I don't understand how someone can cut the grass when it's wet but I've seen our guys show up here right after it's rained. Hope you have something fun to do today since you already did your time at work.

Good morning! You posted early today while I was still walking. lol Our lawn care comes in the late morning or early afternoon when the dew is gone. It makes for a better cut I believe. I'm sure you are very relieved that most of your grandkids will be homeschooled. I am, too.

Those stupid lawn people were here so early and they woke me up with their loud machines. My daughter slept right through it and I had my morning coffee without her. Yes I'm happy that my grandkids will be staying home and doing online classes. My grandson is anxious to go back to school but then I hesitate having him come here to visit if he's going to be around all those other kids. Three of my grandkids are adults and working and the other one is doing here second year of college online. The university decided early on to cancel them coming back to the campus. She's a bit bummed but what can you do. Better to be safe is all I say.

My daughter does fall asleep easily. She works hard and when she has to go to the office she has to drive two hours to get there and then two hours home. She's exhausted after a day like that. Hopefully one of these days she'll be able to find a job that's closer to home.

Good Morning! Storms are expected here today but that doesn't bother me. It's a little cooler today than it was yesterday. I believe our schools are having a month of virtual learning and then they will try to go back to the schools themselves. I don't think that's a good idea, but what do I know? I can not sleep through clang banging around, maybe your daughter's sleep isn't so restful, and that's why she's still in bed?

We have weather advisory coming across the tv screen as the thunderstorms move into the area. Right now it's still sunny but hot. Those loud machines were right outside my window this morning so that's what woke me up but my daughters room is on the other side of the house so she probably didn't hear the noise as much as I did.

Our schools open in a few weeks and depending on where you live whether children will go back and do their learning in the classroom while other parts will continue with online learning.
