Indianapolis Colts Offensive Line Coach Passes Away

Howard Mudd was the offensive line coach for the Indianapolis Colts. He passed away Wednesday after a motorcycle accident. He was 78 years old.
Mudd spent 50 years of his life in the NFL in various ways.
He played for Michigan State and was drafted the ninth round of the 1964 draft to the San Francisco 49ers. He played with them until 69 when he would play his last two seasons with the Chicago Bears.
He was a three-time pro-bowler, two all-pro teams and was on the 1960's decade team.
In 72, Mudd started coaching with the University of California. From there he went back to the NFL. He coached the Colts twice, The San Diego Chargers, 49ers, Seattle Seahawks twice, Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Philadelphia Eagles.

He will be missed.
