We cannot truly know ourselves unless we have been in hopeless situations. Do you truly know yourself?

We lead 'normal' lives when we don't encounter dire situations. This is because we are in our comfort zones. So, we don't get to know our true selves. We can only know our true selves when we are confronted with challenges, like this COVID 19 pandemiic. We can see people hoarding goods selfishly not thinking about the needs of others. We can also see people sacrificing their time to help health care workers go to work. and the selfless health care workers themselves. They eschew their safety and place themselves at risk to help save people. There was a case in my community that a family brought a COVID positive patient from another community home for treatment. Many people went on an uproar, while others commiserated with the family and understood why the family brought their member home for treatment. The hospital that accepted the patient even was criticized for accepting the patient, when like in war, a health worker should not discriminate who to cure. In this dilemma, it's difficult to decide who is selfish and who is not. But, for me, any patient should be treated and not turned down. We should care for other people aside from ourselves. The real colors of people have appeared in this situation. What do you think?

@Jenaisle I will not react. It is their choice what actions they do. I will do what I think the best I should do for the good of all. At the end of the day, they will not matter but my actions will.

Sometimes we discover something new about ourselves upon emergency or in terms of difficulties. Even other people, on this day of pandemic we could discover who really that person or people we are mingling with. Have a great day kababayan!

That's true Kabayan. Their true colors appear. It can be sad at times, but I don't blame them though, they have to survive as well.

It.s okay to stay away from the sick but to discriminate who to treat must not be acceptable.
