A waterfall in Dubai

I’ve been trying to walk on the treadmill more regularly. I find it incredibly boring but don’t want the walker in the lounge and we don’t have TV in the bedroom. I’ve discovered that if I hang on with one hand, I can hold a small book such as a Reader’s Digest and read while I walk. Today I read about some of the world’s best manmade waterfalls and one was the ‘Human Waterfall’ in the Dubai Mall in Dubai. This is located close to the world’s tallest building. Two cylindrical waterfalls extend the full four storey height (24 metres) of the mall itself. . Human figures appear to be diving and, with the water cascading behind the divers, the effect is very dramatic. We spent two nights at an AirBnB in 2015 on our way home from Ireland. I’m glad we were able to see it.

The water looks solid, so I guess you need a video to capture the cascade effect. Still, very impressive looking and not something I expect in a desert country!

The whole city was clean and green - a true oasis in the desert. And yes, a video would make it more impressive.

@JudyEv I try to video almost everything, so I have a lot of them and then can't find what I am after!

@Ronrybs There seems to be an art in filing videos and photos. Most of my photos I can find - eventually - but Vince is always having trouble.

That looks fascinating. My husband refuses to travel to Dubai, but our older son was there on business and saw that waterfall.

Wow, that's a real spectacle. Did they make the human figures life sized?

That is neat and I recall seeing a photo of it before but I prefer real waterfalls over man made. I got engaged in front of a waterfall so we had our engagement photos done in front of a waterfall as well.

I can look out the window too. Sometimes I peel and core an apple then take 2 1/2 minutes to eat each quarter. That takes up 10 minutes too.

Oh my God I had to zoom in because I thought they were Christs on the cross but backwards! If it wasn't for your post, and me zooming in I would've thought it was tiny backwards Christs! Nice post Judy!
