Decluttering... Cleaning... Organizing...

I have always been working on these work perhaps since I became a mom. There are always so much to tackle - toys, papers, books, crafts, craft supplies, etc. I have been working on the digital files too. There are lots of learning and homeschooling resources sitting in my computer, and I have been scanning my kids' lessons or school work as well.
Well, things actually get much better. I found out once I have established the systems to deal with these stuff, and be consistent dealing with them, slowly things will be more in order. Moreover, my kids are older now, they actually help out a lot, especially the elder two.
It's time for me to work on these now. 
Are you always working on these work as well?

I lived like that many decades ago, when my daughters were little. Once I told my husband that my house was never in order, nothing to do with his nephew. He looked at the living room. Claudia was drawing on a piece of paper on the floor, all the pencils in disorder. Tania was making clothes for one of her dolls. The pieces if material were all over the place. He looked at them proudly and asked me if I would prefer his nephew watching TV all day in a clean environment.

I have done a lot of organising and decluttering over the past year or two. I need to do more but the need is not so urgent now.

Oh yes. I'm thankful to have had a housekeeper in the last 3 years. She's gone to another country so we now do the cleaning ourselves. I don't really mind. I feel so accomplished every time I declutter and clean an area in this house. My husband and young daughters help me clean and rearrange, though I'm usually the one who decides which items must go and which ones should be kept. I started cleaning seriously in the last week of July. Online school starts August 24th and I want a better looking house once we get down to the business..
