There is a couple of stairs in the garage that used to be easy to climb. Not anymore.
That´s where I fell the other day and although my pain has nothing to do with that, I know that I should have a rail there to hold on to, just in case.
There is a man who has all the abilities to do that. He made my fence higher after the burglars came to my house a couple of years ago.
He is coming tomorrow of the day after to see it all.
Stairs are difficult things nowadays

@marguicha For 2 steps only a simple iron bar is enough. I want to ask to my husband to add a handrail to the stairs going down to the garden from the main floor, we have 16 steps and I do not feel safe anymore.

This reminds me of my father's advice to have a room in the ground floor ready. It would serve me well to stay there when I have difficulty in climbing the stairs. Most of the seniors here are staying in the ground floor bedroom.

I know what you mean since when I used to work as a delivery driver, climbing stairs in some buildings was a challenge.

Good you're getting help. Don't hold back, ask for help. My healthcare provider has a product benefits for free, like bath rail I installed in my shower stall. As I got older, I hold on to things for sturdiness.

Those things are not given here. But I still think that we have a very good and inexpensive health care in my country.

Hopefully the rails he makes for you are good so you can hold on to them in the future!

You definitely need a handrail. I can't climb or descend stairs without one!
