Day 13
Promise 458
Matthew 21:18 Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.
19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward forever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
20 And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!
21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
What do you want to accomplish? What stands in your way? Doubt, fear, people who don’t believe you can fulfill your dreams? From the time you’re born, you have dreams of what you want to do with your life. You start to plan and as you do, people will either help or hinder your efforts.
Jesus went to the fig tree because He was hungry, but finding no fruit on the tree, cursed it and it withered and died. His disciples were amazed at what He did. Jesus told them if they had faith and didn’t doubt, they could do the same. They could move the mountains in their lives and nothing would stand in their way.
As Christians, you have desires and plans too about what you want to do for the kingdom of God. However, doubt and fear rise up to distract and persuade you telling you you’re not good enough, educated enough, or wealthy enough to pursue your dreams or the calling God has on your life.
Gladys Aylward was a missionary to China. She was a poor housekeeper with a huge desire to go to China with the gospel of Jesus Christ. She met each obstacle with determination. She didn’t let the mission society stop her from going because she lacked education. She didn’t let the travel agency stop her because she didn’t have the full fare for the journey, and she didn’t let her work as a housekeeper stop her from learning all she could and earn the fare to China. She kept at her quest until she got to China and became a key person to get the children to safety during the Japanese invasion of China.
What is stopping you from fulfilling your dreams, hopes, and desires? If God has a calling on your life, you need to pursue it and not let go of what you know you can do.
Let’s pray: Father, remove the obstacles in my path. Increase my faith so I can accomplish everything You called me to do with my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

@mynameiskate He was hungry because He was a man just like everyone else. He experienced everything we do. It is the only way people relate to other people. If Jesus, being God, was in His divine state as God, nobody would be able to relate to Him or find salvation necessary. Therefore, God sent His Son, to be born of a woman, just like we were so we could get to know Him, not only the human Jesus but the Son of God, the Divine Jesus.

@just4him I'm not hungry too often now. But I should be. It will make me healthier. I've been there before. Hunger can clean our system and allow us to appreciate. I still love candy and chocolates but always said the first is the best one. Eating too much ruins the joy of it. Don't you find that? And then there are other hungers. Hunger for spiritual life for love. The story said, it is a story, a true story about Jesus Christ. It said he was hungry. Why?

Thanks for the study dear. It's God alone that can remove all our obstacles
