Do You Look At Reviews While Updating The App?

It's a very good option and previously I did that successfully and was happy with my decision. So I received the notification that there is an update available for 'WhatsApp' I clicked on it and while it was about to update I tried to look at the reviews and they were all like ' Update is not worth and they are facing difficulties in voice messages etc' so I cancelled the update. Do you look at the reviews first before updating the app to see if it's worth to update or not?

When it comes to WhatsApp I don't read it because at some point my cellphone will update it on it's own when I least expect it! However when it comes to news apps, games etc I make sure to read the reviews, I basically base my decision on the reviews!

I hate the frequent updates of these apps, unless there is a security bug fix. After updating I haven't noticed any huge difference in the app's performance

Most app don't work if it has not been updated after a certain time. Also it is recommended to update mobile apps which you use regularly to avoid security issues.
