An expensive weekend

How’s it going? It’s Saturday in my world which is the first day of my work week. I had kind of a packed weekend (my weekend is Weds thru Friday and then I work Sat thru Tues) and I had quite the roster of things to do. On Weds, I hung out with my cousin and checked in with her dad- my uncle- after his first round of chemo. He was in poor spirits but got through the appt ok. He will have it once per week for three weeks and then a week off. And repeat. Praying and hoping this helps.
Thursday and Friday were also busy. On Thursday I dropped my car off to have the back up camera and a few other things fixed.. and on Friday met with my dad at his local bar for dinner. I did a bunch of other stuff in between but I can’t remember specifically what.
I did spend way too much money though. My car repair itself was over $900, with an estimate of all things I need to have fixed in the future, another grand or so. At least everything that needs fixing is nothing urgent urgent.
I need to lay low with spending for a week at least. Hate that feeling. But am blessed that I am still employed full time and able to spend this money!
How is your week shaping up? Any major plans?
I did a lot of cooking and shopping this weekend.

Youre right, youre still lucky to have a job compared to other people. We all need to be more careful about our spending habits. Well never know whats gonna happen next.

Car repairs can be costly. Glad you are able to work and get your car fixed. It's been a quiet weekend which is what I like. Have a great evening.

I'm sorry for the car expenses. My hubby wants us to go to Home Depot. I really would rather sit and vegetate in my chair!
