The school's gymnasium was standing room only as more people jostled their way in, all eager to hear what the man on the stage had to say. "People! People! Everyone! Please Calm Down!" He shouted. A woman stood beside him, a whistle grasped between her fingers. She raised her brow at him, and he nodded. Three shrill blasts later and the gym was quiet.
"Thank You. Now, I know everyone is scared and confused. I'm scared too, but I've come up with a plan. We will split into groups of five, no more than two children per group." Outrage erupted from the crowd as mothers held firmly to their children, and fathers shouted obscenities at the stage. "I know it's not ideal, but it's the only way to survive. It's the only way our children will survive. Families with just one child can take on another, families with no children can take on two children and another adult." The man paused to mop at his brow. "I've been in contact with someone at the coast, and word is that you can get some supplies there. It's limited, and heavily guarded so don't get any ideas, but I've drawn out a map here." He extends an arm and points to the whiteboard just behind him, "I suggest everyone head that way at some point before the end of the week. Now, Mrs. Beachcombe has been kind enough to pair everyone into groups of five. Please don't argue, folks. We all want to survive."

With me, 99% of the time it is, the other 1% is retellings of actual events to do with my family or friends.
