This is a extremely rare event that is happening in the Gulf of Mexico, two tropical systems churning at the same time and headed for the same area as of this writing. Tropical storm Laura (which is expected to be a hurricane sometime overnight) and Hurricane Marco which is now expected to hit Louisiana late tomorrow afternoon are both in the Gulf at the same time and this hasn't happened since the 1930s. Marco is a low Cat one (75mph winds) right now and they are now saying Laura may be close to at Cat 2 when it hits close in the same area on Wednesday. Though I am Thankful the storms at the moment are going well west of where I am at (though we will get a good bit of rain form the systems I am praying for the areas that are expected to be hit from these historic storms and pray you join me too.

Marco is headed toward LA. So far they are bringing heavy rain and storms. Stay safe and have a wonderful Monday.

As a former LA resident, we watched the local Baton Rouge news tonight. I still have a house right outside of BR so keep up with the news there. They were saying Laura should hit as a Cat 3. We will see! We haven't had any rain here yet in my part of MS from the storms. That will change tomorrow and for the next few days I imagine.
