Black Confederates ~ Forwards or Backkkwards?

History does have a tendency to repeat itself, doesn't it? They say it's because some people never learn the lessons of history. But how does one learn the lessons when history is blurred or unclear? It seems that the history regarding whether or not blacks or African-Americans served in the Confederate Army is a tad bit blurry. ~ Some say freedmen and slaves tried to volunteer for the grays but they were refused. Not good enough huh? ~ Some say they did serves but not as soldiers; they were cooks, did the laundry, etc. Good enough for those tasks. ~ Some say the masters forced the slaves to take up arms and fight, whether they wanted to or not. Oh sure! Blame the masters. Um? Actually, that sounds plausible. ~ Some say when the fighting got really really bad and the Confederates realized they were losing, they enlisted blacks to fight because uh … I guess they were running out white boys. A lot of young men died for nothing. So anyway! That part of American Civil War history might be a blur. But the “Black Confederates” who appeared at the Republic National Convention to support 4 more years of President Trump ... they've made that part of American history crystal clear! You know ... there were Native American scouts who helped the U.S. Military track and attack the Native American warriors who were fighting against them. But in The End, after the wars were over, those scouts ended up on the reservation right along with the rest of the Injuns. Did the Native American scouts choose to support the wrong side? The African-Americans who came out to support Trump at the RNC2020? Have they chosen the wrong side? (Yawn.) Eh! If it's true, it's true. If it's not? Well! I'm prepared to … “walk it back”. Isn't that what everybody else is doing? Say something one day and then the next day you walk it back! * On the plus side: At least, our POTUS isn't walking around with a rifle like that guy in BELARUS. Some folks just don't recognize when it's time to LEAVE! Do all people who lust for power end up going completely INSANE? * No, I'm not a qualified historian. So what! I got eyes, I can read, and I can think for myself. This is what I see. God Bless America. God Save America.

When the situation looks bleak, call on a Higher Power. You never know. It might help. A Jewish guy once told a joke about his grandfather. Something happened and his grandpa was shouting all kinds of exclamatory statements and he exclaimed "Jesus Christ!" The guy said to him "Grandpa? You're Jewish!" And his grandfather said "I'm calling anybody who might listen!"

I'm with JJ. Besides, I refused to watch the RNC. They are all liars.

ALL liars? Well … not trying to pick on anyone in particular but when flipping the channels I caught this “sound bite”. Nikki Halley said and I quote: “America is not racist”. She didn't even flinch when she said it. Yet … she was the governor when that white kid went into a historically black church and shot all of those black people. She actually had different words to say at the time. ~ I used to live in El Paso but I wasn't living there at the time. But the guy actually admitted that he drove all the way from another city in Texas TO El Paso just so he could shoot some Mexicans. ~ I know of another American city where a Hindu temple was destroyed because the people were trying to run those “Muslim terrorists” our of the neighborhood. Not only is America racist but some of the racists don't even know who they're supposes to hate. I love America. It's my country. But I'm not BLIND! But hey! If Nickki Haley said that, I guess it's a woman's prerogative to change her mind. Right?
