We were out of milk, and bread, and sandwich fixins. So as soon as I got home from work we went to El Dorado to shop.
My goal was to spend thirty dollars or less because we will do big shopping this Thursday as we will be in Wichita.
I am exhausted.
While shopping I picked up fried chicken, and frozen spinach among other things. We had the chicken, steamed spinach, grape juice and a slice of honey oat bread.
My bill came to $27 when tax was added on. Things have gotten expensive while I have not been shopping. Meat especially.
Before work I went to my dentist to get copies of my most recent procedures. My flexpay account wanted to make sure I am not going in for teeth whitening and cosmetic procedures. I will upload them in the morning, when I am more awake.
This myLot month has been sketchy. Errors early in the month and then I went back to work.
I did make payout, though.
I do not plan to hang out here to squeeze out the last pennies from August. I am tired and I am going to bed.

I am fortunate to have a lot of meat on hand, but I have a feeling that the prices will not go back down.

I am going to shop Aldi if I need meat. Luckily we still have quite a bit of meat in the freezer.

I saw bread and milk and immediately thought, "Wow, they're having a snow storm? This early in the season?"

Nope, no bad weather or quarantine. We have just been eating a lot of sandwiches. I actually got three loaves of really good bread at 99 cents each. Dollar General has been charging $2.25 for their sandwich loaf. Actually my pay will be lower this year because I am only doing specialized support part of the day.

I try to shop less often and then I do not spend as much. I have to work on stretching the meals.

You've been busy and got a lot done. Me been going mainly to neighborhood store cause near by. You're right prices are up and Lysol disinfectants hard to find.

There are lots of ranchers with animals ready to process who cannot get it done. They are going with small processing plants. There is a FaceBook group that connects customers with great Kansas farmers. Meat from these small producers is very good.

@GardenGerty Here in Switzerland we have no shortage because we do not have big processing plants. Meat comes from small producers and it's very good.

I had to carefully pay attention. I got everything I needed though, including food that was ready to heat up and serve. I did not get too many things, though.
