When the hours are long and the days many.

The hours are long and the days many.
Somewhere in the aftermath of the Beirut blasts, families were at a loss, grieving over loved ones gone, buried in the rubble. Somewhere in California, Fire conflagrations have made the deplorable pandemic situation more difficult to bear. Category 4 Laura surged, leaving a destruction that might take long to rebuild.
The hours are long and the days many.
The chastisement continues.
It has become a platitude to say things will become worse before it becomes better.
Would it? Become better?
Or another disaster looms just around the corner?
Let us hope it's a corner nowhere near. I don't like sinkholes. It can swallow up an entire house, even if your house is a mansion.
The only recourse to avoid such fateful scenarios is deep prayer.
The hours are long and the days many.
We have time for the Scriptures. Let us learn more how merciful our God is.

Yes ..and have faith upon Him. If he gives sufferings he also gives a way of sailing out of it.

I think you're right, sadly, I don't pray thoroughly the way i used to. I kinda like to keep it simple.
We are experiencing bad times, maybe were in the revelation itself.

Yes, that is true. And we get front seats during the Masses. I follow the Archdiocese of Kalookan. Bishop Ambo David's sermons are superb.
Keep praying. We just have to.

Yup, so much news as grotesque situations seem to happen by the hour.
