My Pandemic Birthday Lesson. / myLot

Always been grateful for another year. My natal day was a blessed and happy one, as family and friends wished. Started with a Healing Mass celebrated by Fr. Jerry, SVD, and spent the rest of the hours listening on retreat-like lectures by Cardinal Tagle. Yup, I did need the introspection. Cardinal Tagle, as usual, is so inspiring but one lesson that jolted me was this hard teaching - "If you fail to recognize the wounds inflicted on your fellow man, you actually have no right to utter the supreme profession of faith 'My Lord and my God.'" Just sharing the lesson I learned on my birthday.

Nice way indeed to celebrate your birthday since there is not much place to celebrate it why not do some introspection and get inspired by it. l think tgat is what this pandemic is all about. Stop and do some reflections about ourselves.

@rsa101 Yes, noticed how people curses 2020 on a daily basis, more worried that their planner has no entry. Sigh. Yet, there were many who seized the opportunity to re-invent themselves and now have good income-generating businesses to support their families. There never is a bad day, or a bad time. There are reasons for the plague, foremost of which is the cleansing of the earth. The earth is defending this planet from visitors such as us who plundered every natural resource available. Tell everyone to dispose the masks and the plastic properly, else the virus will be puny compared to this planet's defense measure.
