September 2 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today has been a day. I'm wiped out! I'll be going to bed soon. Here is what I'm thankful for today. I'm thankful for the pool and hot tub this morning. It felt so great. I enjoy going for 5 AM versus the later time slot. It's much too crowded by 7 AM because that's when the floaters and talkers swim, though I wouldn't call it swimming and because that's when they swim, they allow more people in the pool. They keep their distance, but it makes it hard for lap swimmers. So, I'm thankful for the early time on Wednesday. I'm thankful for my walk when I got home from the pool. It was cool and breezy this morning on the trail. It felt good. It was breezy all day, which made it nice. I don't think it got as warm as they said it would. I'm thankful I babysat today. It's easier with her in the playpen, but she is still an active little girl and kept me on my toes. I got a couple of kids' books from my neighbor down the hall, so I could read to her. We also went for a short walk outside on the sidewalk facing the parking lot. She also enjoyed PBS Kids. I do too. You can really learn a lot watching those kids shows. Okay, that was my entire day. I think I watched her for 7 hours. I got all my fitness goals plus. I have over 19K steps today. If this keeps up, I expect to lose weight faster than I have. I'm taking some Ibuprofen and going to bed. Pool in the morning. I asked my son how much she weighs. I have a crushed vertebra between my shoulder blades and a lifting restriction of 20 pounds. She's heavy. He said she's close to 50 pounds. I'll be back tomorrow and try to get more accomplished. I also want to work on Vendetta. Watching her doesn't give me any writing time. I'm not complaining. I'll get caught up here and work on Vendetta too when I can. Thanks for reading. What are you thankful for today? The image is mine from today. Yes, he brought back the tree.
