If you got some change from the store,

...would you keep it or donate it? In some stores, they do have a donation box. Personally, I donate some of the loose money. But I keep it if they do not have this box. I still have a piggy bank here at my house. It is where I collect them. How about you, guys? Image Credit: images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com

Loose money is very precious here. In stores we find it difficult to manage the chain.

@Shavkat We are in short supply of it here or people prefer to keep it home because it gets heavier in the pocket. Result is we have to struggle to give change to the customers. It is not easy to get the change from banks also.

@msdivkar Really? I hope it will not be like this. However, I heard they created new notes in my country.

I never pay cash and now we are asked to only use "plastic money" to avoid germs.

I haven't seen a plastic note. I hope we replace our notes with this kind of material.

@Shavkat Plastic money is NOT a plastic note is a credit card or a debit card, it is called "plastic money". Only the UK has plastic banknotes.

Sometimes I allow them to donate it to the welfare funds. Sometimes I come back home and put it in my piggy bank

If there is no donation box, I just keep it and save it instead.

Sometimes I donate those boxes, it depends on the money holding in my hand.

Mostly I pay with an ATM card, I'm most lazy about accepting coin change.

I have my own ways to donete. Sime time ago I left it at the super when they asked mr if I would donate my change. Then I discovered that the sipermarkets ised that money as if they had donates it and thus had less gain to pay taxes. Now I want all my coins

I did not know that it will lessen their taxes. I got curious. Perhaps I will also ask them. If it happens, I will just keep my loose coins.

I rarely go to stores or fast foods these few months that has donation box on it. But when I do I would spare time for a few coins to give.

I sometimes go to 711 and it has this donation box. It is a good thing to share something with others.

Hell. I won't even give up my quarter for an Aldi cart. So no. I mean, I HAVE rounded up at the grocery store from time to time for charity. But if I get change, it is going into my coin jar. I can donate to causes in other ways.
