Going to the State Park Later

Decided to visit the park later to see Cotton, the owl. If the crowd is not too bad, maybe go for a walk. We will see how it is going later. The photo was taken on my last visit to the park. I hope to see Cotton again today. The sun is out and heating up today. The 90s are back again for another week. Hummingbirds are still visiting the feeders on the deck. I had to fill the feeder up again this morning. But I do not mind at all. I enjoy watching them. Any plans for you out there? If so please be safe.

No plans at the moment, but that looks like a cool owl, and I LOVE to watch hummingbirds as well. I have thought many times to put out a feeder, but all they attract are bees and yellow jackets. lol

@CarolDM I bet that owl is a sight. My favorite birds are cardinals, and where I live, luckily they are quite common. Blue Jays are pretty too but I rarely see them.

Yes this owl was rescued as abbey by the park rangers. I visit her often.. The hummers are the only birds I see lately. Except for tne one blue jay the last two days.

@CarolDM Okay good. I've seen too many zoos that essentially give the animals in the cages zero room to move or maneuver.

Oh yes, this was a small corner. She has a large gazebo. But she can never fly in the wild.

@moffittjc No this is the best place she can be, the rangers give her one on one care, they take her out, and this is a big space.

I hope that you will enjoy visiting the parka and seeing Cotton the owl. I also love watching humming birds. Tomorrow I will take my two dogs for a hair cut with a dog groomer.

We went out yesterday so our plans are to stay in today. We are canning tomatoes. I hope that you are able to visit Cotton, maybe there will not be a lot of crowds. Stay safe and take good care if you go out today.
