Was out snapping photos again earlier in Dustin's garden. The autumn joy sedum is changing colors to dark pink, almost to the burgundy phase. Remember back in the spring it started out green, then a light pink.
Someone asked that I post a photo when it changed colors. Sorry but I forgot who it was. Either way, sharing a photo of the sedum.
It has done well another year. The rain has helped. Soon it will be at the last stage for the summer season.
But it will return in the spring with the other perennials.

jest gorgeous! i fear that most all plants here've perished. e'en the weeds failed to grow proper 'fter august's heat. which's a good thingy coz i'm physically 'xhausted tryin' to get 'em all tended. made a huge dent though, so next yer ought not be quite's bad'n those areas. 'bout 3 1/2 acres tackled by pullin' 'r usin' the loppers. purty sure i could through a steer with all the manual labor done this summer :)

@CarolDM missed me, eh? i missed ya, too :) been crazy 'round these parts fer months. lots 'f work to be tended, now cut short by weather. i did make a huge dent though. i prefer the heat 'n though sweated buckets, got quite a bit done with our triple digit heat that lasted fer weeks. got 'bout 3 acres cleared by hand - o'er 100 wheelbarrows mounded with weeds. started tacklin' the elm troubles o'er 't mamaw's place. those suckers're all o'er the place!

I can only dream about the changing colors of the season here in Florida. We don't get much color change, unless you count the leaves going from green to brown when they die and fall off the trees. Your sedum looks very nice.

@CarolDM At least your hot summer days only last through September! Ours will last until at least the end of October, if not into November.

I like sedums and had some several years ago. Maybe next year I can get more. I did get a spirit of the ride of sharon which I planted in a huge pot. At first it looked like it would door but then we got ours of rain and now it's thriving. I still have to decide where to plant it for the winter.
