I have been making strides with being more financially responsible because COVID has kept me cooped up, not traveling or going out much, so once a month-ish I have been making an update on my debt here on MyLot, AND outlining some goals for next month. This month saw the SMALLEST decrease in debt since this all started, which is sad, but I had some unexpected expenses. This month I knew I had some expenses to take care of: *I wanted to replace my back up camera on my car, which was on the fritz: -$900. *-$400-500 (give or take) in assistance to my cousin, who is out of work dealing with her dad (my uncle, who is in hospice). *The ONLY debt I have paid down is -$222 to my car payment! Now my totals are as follows: Credit Card Debt: $0 Student Loan: $0 Car Loan: $10,704 (down from 10,926). My goals for next month are to at least pay an extra car payment. I have a couple of expenses ahead, including getting the brakes on my car done, which will be expensive, and I am going out of town to the casino with my mom - and paying for hotel plus whatever we lose at the casino, and drinks money. I am excited for that though! My financial goal for next month is to pay at least ONE extra car payment (about $250). Do you have any financial goals, or other goals, for September?

Wow, this post is very inspiring. I like the fact that you help your cousin. That is very seldom nowadays. You can pay completely your loan for sure as you seem very good in handling money. We don't have debts. But i lost clients this year because of covid. My husband is the only one who works

I am sorry about losing clients due to COVID. I am sure that is happening quite a lot with the current economy. I am not very good at money (I have been shopping a lot as well lately) but COVID and being quarantined has taught me a little bit about managing my money better and paying off debts. The one good thing to come of this.

I financial goal I used to have was pay off my mortgage which I did in 2017. I wish to not get any debts as I want to be debt free. I have began three regular saving accounts. In 2019 I began paying into a pension for my old age.

That is great. I had alot of bills due this month so I wasn't able to save much like I normally do. Each paycheck I try to put 300 in my savings accounts to build that up for emergency only. I have about 1500 in there right now and want to keep adding to it. I don't go out as much anymore either.
