Faulty tranny - Engine swap

hi, i have a honda accord cf9 model. while changing gears it slips (automatic tranny) it works properly for a while but then it starts to give problems. i am trying to find a tranny for it but this model parts is hard to find. i have tried looking for the parts alot of places but they all say this is a wrong model type. i have checked the VIN so many times and have confirmed it to be correct. now if i am not able to find the tranny then i want to purchase a engine which can fit in the engine..cf8 model and cf9 model are identical..i am wondering if cf8 model engine will fit in cf9 model. if yes will ECU and other electronics component will change if yes then which ones. any other information which can help will be appreciated.
