Removing the Social Distancing: SCARY?!?

In my country, "Unbecoming is becoming." I am saying this because the health sector is not jiving to each other about social distancing. They are thinking to remove the plastic dividers on public transportations. What? Are they serious about this matter? At this point in time, we are still waiting for the final outcome. I cannot understand why they are broadcasting these things on the local TV news. Why not talk to each other first before implementing something. Are they thinking senselessly? Should they have to consult the World Health Organization about this matter? Image Credit: sunstar.com.ph

The Philippines still have high numbers of infection I think so removing the barriers doesn't sound like a very good idea.

I hope that they will not this. I am surprised when they are planning to do this yesterday. It was a live interview.

@JudyEv I agree. That's why I am trying to brush it off when hearing something about their ideas.

I think they don't see the consequences of such actions! Hope there aren't new cases of Covid-19 due to their decisions!

I am quite confused because why are planning this one. It seems the coronavirus cases are being controlled. Lately, we can find any legit news about it here.

@Shavkat same here. There was confinement for the last 6 months, now some districts are disconfined while others are not. Which leads me to wonder, why don't they open the whole city, or still keep the whole city in lockedown.

I know how jeepney riders will stick together like sardines if they'll remove the divider. Why they are in a hurry, should wait that the corona will go.

That's the big question. As of today, I have not heard any updates about it.

They should always remember that to avoid this type of thing, they have to implement social distance. However, if they remove it they should know what will happen. Anyhow, it became controllable now unlike before

I am hoping that it is being controlled. Even in my city, it seems so relax and not lockdown news lately.

@Shavkat It's good news then but I think the number of cases is still increasing right?

It is a basic protocol and they need to remember this. They need to have Health 101.

Well, the World Health Organization has not proven to be a good reference, they got everything wrong since the beginning. That said, I think that removing the plastic dividers is not a good idea.

I agree. I was so dismayed so many facts that they broadcasted and they appeared to be false hopes. It is not a good idea if they insist it.

Their are now preparing for less distances. From 1m to .75m they said. But I don't think it is time to do this yet

If they do, they will be like the frontliners in hospitals. They will have a perferct outfit with face masks and face shields.

in my country the plastic partition is only there in taxis and autos. Busses and trains dont have such dividers. Mask wearing and hand sanitising is compulsary.

@Shavkat plastic barrier is not practical in busses and trains . Temperature check , wearing masks, keeping distance and hand sanitising is more than enough to keep Corona at bay.

It's a good idea to use a bulkhead on public transportation. In Indonesia, only one seat is given per passenger by placing an X on one seat separating the other seats. Which is better?
